Snowbell

Terms of Service

Effective 9 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Snowbell for the website at snowbell.in and the application at app.snowbell.in. Using either means you accept them.

01The service

Snowbell is a workspace for planning and tracking work: projects, tasks, comments, milestones and the people assigned to them. We add, change and remove features as the product develops. If we remove something you depend on, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

02Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. Give us accurate details and keep them current. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your password to yourself — tell us promptly at security@snowbell.in if you think it has been compromised.

An account belongs to exactly one workspace. Whoever created the workspace is its administrator: they can invite and remove people, set roles, see the workspace's content, and decide what clients on a project can view. If your employer or client set up the workspace, they control it — including your access to it.

03Acceptable use

Do not:

04Your content

Everything you put into Snowbell stays yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the licence we need to operate the service: to store, copy, transmit, back up and display your content to the people in your workspace that you or your administrator have given access to. That licence ends when the content is removed, except for copies held in backups until they rotate out.

You are responsible for your content, and for having the right to put it in Snowbell in the first place. If your workspace holds personal data about other people, you are responsible for the lawful basis on which you collected it.

05Client access and public links

A project can be shared with client users, and can be given a public link. Anyone with a public link can see what that link exposes, without signing in. Turning one on is a deliberate act of publication and it is your decision — check what is visible before you share it, and turn the link off when you no longer need it.

06Availability

We aim to keep Snowbell available and to keep your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. There will be maintenance, and there will occasionally be faults. We offer no uptime commitment under these terms.

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take regular backups for our own recovery purposes; they are not a substitute for your records.

07Fees

Snowbell is currently provided without charge. If we introduce fees, we will say so clearly and give you notice before anything you use becomes payable. You will never be charged without agreeing to it first.

08Suspension and termination

You can stop using Snowbell at any time; ask your workspace administrator to deactivate your account, or write to us.

We may suspend or deactivate an account or a whole workspace where these terms are breached, where an account is used for spam or abuse, or where we are required to by law. Where the circumstances allow, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.

Deactivating an account removes access to it; it does not by itself erase the content authored under it. See the Privacy Policy for what is kept and how to ask for erasure.

09Intellectual property

The Snowbell name, the software, the interface and everything we published in it are ours or our licensors'. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service — nothing more.

10Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or be free of errors.

11Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business or lost data, however caused. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 10,000.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content or from your use of the service in breach of these terms.

13Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The current version is always at this URL with its effective date. For material changes we will notify account holders by email before they take effect; continuing to use Snowbell afterwards means you accept the revision.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Tamil Nadu, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we both submit to them.

15General

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a successor of the service. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
